Policies and Procedures
Class Procedures:
Please have your child arrive five minutes prior to class start time dressed in the proper attire, shoes and hairstyle (Ballet). Proper technical warm-ups are done at the beginning of each class and are vital to preventing injuries. All students should place personal belongings in the back room (Student Lounge), nothing should be left in the reception area or observations area of the studio.

Observance:
Parents observation of all classes is welcome. We do request that if you are utilizing the observation window of the front studio, you limit your time standing at the window. Unless your child needs to see your presence, we ask that you limit your time so that you do not distract the teacher or students. Both studios are equipped with monitors that may be viewed from the front Parent Lounge. If you have younger siblings with you when your child is attending class we ask that you keep them away from the observation area so that they are not a distraction.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES IS A CHILD PERMITTED TO WAIT OUTSIDE OF THE BUILDING FOR A RIDE.

Absences:
If your child needs to miss a class due to illness, studio closing (Holiday), inclement weather or other reason, you are welcome to make the class up in any other class for your child's age group and similar level. You do not need to call ahead to schedule a make up class, just show up and let the front desk as well as the teacher know that you are there for a make up. You have no time frame in which to make up a missed class. Any missed class should be made up prior to the end of the season in May. Missed classes do not carry over from season to season. All tuition payments are non-refundable. If you decide to quit or drop a class mid month, you will still be responsible for the month that we are currently in. Once you notify us of a quit or a dropped class no further payments will be charged to your account for upcoming months.

Inclement Weather:
If the studio needs to close due to inclement weather, please visit the website, and information will be posted as to the status of the studio opening for the day. We will also post on Facebook and Instagram. We will leave a message on the studio answering machine as well. Finally a Newsletter email will go out as soon as the determination to close has been made, and will be sent to all registered students at Elements. Again, no tuition will be pro-rated for an inclement weather closing. In order to receive your allotted amount of classes, you should make the class up at a later time in a different class for your child's age group.

Studio Correspondence:
All studio correspondence is done via monthly Newsletters. It is of the utmost importance that you provide us with a valid email address upon registration of your child. The Newsletters go out on the first of every month during the regular season. All important information is contained within that correspondence. If for some reason you are not receiving the monthly correspondence, please notify me as soon as possible so that I may troubleshoot the reason as to why you are not receiving them.
